Freaky Friday

Nature Ed-Ventures is the new name of the Metro District’s nature programs offered for kids and families.  The program was previously called Environmental Education Programs.  Metro District park rangers lead participants on different Ed-Ventures throughout the year designed to generate excitement and interest in nature.  Freaky Friday is on Oct. 28 from 7pm - 8:30 p.m.  Kids ages 6 to 11 will listen to scary stories, learn about nocturnal creatures, take a night hike and decorate their own trick-or-treat bags.  Kids are encouraged to wear costumes.  All classes meet at the Highlands Ranch Metro District’s Parks, Recreation & Open Space Service Center at 3280 Redstone Park Circle, Highlands Ranch.  Register for the classes online at www.highlandsranch.org and click the Recreation tab, or call 303-791-2710.
